La Trobe University will continue to enhance its profile nationally and
internationally and will achieve wide recognition for delivering socially
responsible, inclusive, relevant and radical learning, teaching and
research.
Strategic Planning
After taking up the post of
Vice-Chancellor and President of La Trobe University in April 2007, Professor
Paul Johnson undertook a process to gather information from a number of sources
for the planning of the future of La Trobe. Following the release of a Green
Paper in July 2007 for broad discussion the Strategic Plan
2008-2012.
The Plan identifies key targets for the development of
teaching and learning, research, internationalisation and community engagement,
and of the University's support activities. The achievement of these targets
will ensure La Trobe's continuing success as one of Australia's leading teaching
and research universities.
La Trobe has achieved a great deal to date
within the 2008-2012 planning period. These achievements are outlined in
Ambitions into Achievements. |
