Our mission Leuven University College aims to set itself
apart in a positive way. By the quality and flexibility of our education, for
example. The professional focus of the education is an essential element of
Leuven University College. The students acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes
that will prove to be very important in their subsequent profession. Leuven
University College also focuses on students. Just take a look at the extended
student support and the many courses tailored to the individual
student.
Leuven University College educates its students and offers them
values that allow them to develop in a general sense, as a person. By doing so,
we make a contribution to training self-assured, democratically-minded and
committed world citizens.
Leuven University College is also an important
partner to socioeconomic, cultural, political and ideological players within and
outside the Leuven region. It therefore collaborates very openly with university
colleges and universities both in Flanders and abroad. And reserves an important
place for research and services within its strategy.
Our
structure The Leuven University College is governed by the Board of
Directors, under the direction of Mr. Jos Clijsters. The daily management of the
institution is provided by the General Management, under the direction of Dr.
Toon Martens. The head and assistant heads of our four departments form part of
this weekly meeting. An Academic Council is responsible for academic changes to
the degree programmes. Both students and staff form part of this body.
Each degree programme is coordinated by a head. This head of programme
chairs the Educational Committee where the daily management of the degree
programme is discussed. An Examination Committee organises the examinations and
validates the results. |
