Module I, the
CIFFA Certificate Program, is geared towards individuals who want to attain
general knowledge in the theory and mechanics of handling internal freight
shipments. Learn about the basics and principals of freight forwarding over two
39-hour semesters. The first semester covers transportation geography, terms of
trade, land transportation, airfreight and ocean freight. The second semester
examines commercial documentation, transport insurance, international payments,
dangerous goods, cargo security and more. Upon completion, a Certificate in
International Freight Forwarding will be awarded to you and you ll be ready for
an exciting career in the industry!
We offer a continuation of the
program in Module II, the Advanced Certificate Program. While the first module
provides a solid foundation of knowledge, Module II goes into depth and adds
dimension for understanding the dynamics of the profession. A successful
graduation entitles the student to apply to CIFFA for a professional Designation
in International Freight Forwarding; the designation is a respected mark of
professionalism in the industry and Ashton College is proud that our courses can
lead to that designation.
