Université du Québec: a major network
Université du Québec was created by
the Québec government in 1968 and has become Canada s largest university
network. Its mission is to foster access to university education and contribute
to Québec s scientific development as well as the development of its regions.
From its headquarters in Québec City, Université du Québec coordinates the
programs of study offered by nearly 6,000 professors and lecturers to 87,000
students in 9 establishments across 54 municipalities throughout Québec.
