Université du Québec: a major network Université du Québec was created by
the Québec government in 1968 and has become Canada s largest university
network. Its mission is to foster access to university education and contribute
to Québec s scientific development as well as the development of its regions.
From its headquarters in Québec City, Université du Québec coordinates the

students in 9 establishments across 54 municipalities throughout Québec.
