With greater awareness of the
ever-changing dynamics of a globalised world, Metropolitan University College
look towards the international community to seek partnerships and cooperation
for exchange of knowledge and insight.
As partner and holder of ERASMUS
University Charter, under the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme,
Metropolitan University College is committed to improve access to and
transparency of education and training systems in Europe, in particular in
promoting coherence between educations and training and by improving flexible
learning pathways between the different systems.
Metropolitan University
College organizes an extensive number of student and teacher exchanges, both for
study periods and work placements; some organized and supported by Lifelong
Learning Programme. ´
Globalisation & Internationalisation The
departments at Metropolitan University College are experienced in the field of
internationalisation. Several of the departments have been involved in major
projects funded by The European Union, The European Commission, the European
Centre for Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP), The European Training
Foundation (ETF), DG SANCO, the Health and Consumer Protection Directorate of
the European Commission etc.; as well as development projects funded by national
bodies, such as Danish Development Assistance (Danida), Ministry of Education,
and Ministry of Health and Prevention. These activities are based on experience
and expertise generated through cooperation with educational partners from all
over the world.
Research & Development Every single department
contributes to innovation and development of the respective professions through
research and development projects. By cooperating with public and private
sectors as well as established research communities, both domestic and abroad,
Metropolitan University College hope to become one of the leading institutions
in the fields of welfare state services in Denmark.
Examples of such
activities are projects in the fields of education, learning and social work,
developing health and nutrition politics, rehabilitative practices with local
social authorities, or designing laboratory technology for the medical sector. |
