Kold college is a modern, self-governing institution that has specialised in
educational courses in the area of soil to table. We strive always to provide
both students with the best possible conditions so that they can concentrate on
their education.
As a technical college, our goal is to help our students
to acquire knowledge that translates into commercial competence. In this way, we
help to assure that the industry has access to employees with the appropriate
competence profiles.
The college offers a wide variety of courses that
can be divided up into four main areas:
- Vocational education and
training courses (food/agriculture/horticulture/dairy)
- Natural sciences
Upper secondary education (HTX)
- Diploma courses (Academy Profession
(AP) Degree in laboratory technics, Academy Profession (AP) Degree in Process
Technology and Academi Profession (AP) Degree ind Services Management)
-
Adult and Supplementary training courses in all areas from soil to
table.
The 180 members of staff at the college have excellent
pedagogical, theoretical and professional competences, which means that students
and pupils can be sure of both competent and well-prepared teaching. The college
guarantees that its teaching staff regularly participate in supplementary
training courses so that they always have up-to-date knowledge on which to base
the teaching they provide. Best regards Hans Skjerning Principal
Student environment The student environment is influenced by the
students and pupils themselves, and we have established a framework to allow
them to create an excellent atmosphere. Frihavnen is the student common room,
where they run a Friday café and relax after the day s lessons are done. The
walkways and communal areas are decorated with modern Danish art, and the
college contains a number of large and small open areas where the students can
congregate. The canteen serves both hot and cold dishes, and there is a fresh
salad bar every day. The workshops are regularly renovated to ensure they live
up to the college s high standards. |
