Upper Secondary Business Education (HHX)
2005 a reform in secondary education was implemented at Frederikshavn Handelsskole and at all other secondary schools in this country. The upper secondary business education is a preparation for further and higher education and is the obvious choice for a career in private or public business.


Commercial Upper Secondary Education (HHX)
At Frederikshavn Handelsskole the emphasis is on modern aspects of business economics, international economics, languages, culture, and other general subjects. Theories are used to analyse society, e.g. the export chances of a company, the future prospects of information technology, or starting a business.

The education consists of a half-year foundation course and the Major line of study (2½ years).


Mandatory Subjects
All lines of study share the following mandatory core subjects:
- Danish A
- English A
- Mathematics C
- Social Studies C
- 2nd Foreign Language B or A
- Business Economics B
- Marketing B
- International Economics B
- Contemporary History B
- Business Law C


Electives
In addition to the pathway subjects and the compulsory subjects there are one to four optional subjects. The number depends on the choice of pathway. At Frederikshavn Handelsskole the following subjects are offered:
