Minia University was separated from Asuit University by virtue of the
Republican Decree of 1976. The University campus is located north of Minia City
; it takes the emblem of Nefertiti head. The University currently includes 16
faculties in addition to the Higher Institute of Nursing. Three of these
faculties are situated outside the campus, namely the Faculties of Arts,
Dentistry and Engineering. The other thirteen faculties are situated inside the
campus, namely the Faculties of Education, Agriculture, Science, Dar Al-Ulum,
Medicine, Fine Arts, Tourism and Hotels, Physical Education (males and females),
Alsun, Nursing, Pharmacy, Specific Education and Computer Science. Three
departments of the Faculty of Arts were transferred to the University's Branch
in New Minia City . |
