Mission Statement
M.T.I. University provides a world- class institution of
higher technological and Professional education, specializing in teaching and
research programs in selected areas of importance to the community and to the
nation, with power to award appropriate degrees. We seek an institution that
fosters dynamic and creative thinking and learning, and constantly incorporating
new developments of knowledge in all major fields using advanced educational
facilities. Our mission is to prepare our students for life challenges they will
meet in the new century and beyond.
In order to become one of the leading
universities in the region, we are prepared to:
- Develop an approach to
education that focuses on building good citizens and productive professionals in
the world market.
- Engage the entire University community in our leading
strengths through interdisciplinary crosscutting initiatives programs with the
greatest potential for excellence will be targeted and given the resources to
seek national, regional and international recognition.
- Attract highly
qualified undergraduate and graduate students and expand graduate enrollment in
order to support research and scholarship.
- Increase sponsored research
and scholarly and creative output, and be ranked among the nation's top
Universities.
- Achieve the highest level of technological literacy for
our students and faculty. We will individualize and improve instruction and
learning techniques by breaking the paradigm of traditional classroom based
learning. We will expand non traditional methods of course delivery and learning
by incorporation of computer based personalized instruction and networking. We
recognize that learning occurs on multiple levels and is not restricted to
classroom instruction.
- Foster leadership and the notion of service
among the entire University community especially among undergraduates, through
the curriculum and through personal examples . It is true that our organization
is not mainly aiming for profit, but we strongly believe that profit to us is
means of survival, which we are keen to achieve, by offering quality services to
our community.
- Recognize that diversity of people enriches the learning
experience.Threrefore we will seek a campus climate welcoming to all. Our doors
will be always opened to any creative person with proper qualifications,
regardless of his/her social background to join our students, staff, and
faculty.
- Strike a balance among teaching and research. While distinct
and different, they stimulate the synergy that molds our unique academic
enterprise. Maintaining the quality of instructional component is one of our
