Dear Students,
International Black Sea University keeps on improving its
quality in many aspects. We have completed all kinds of work in present campus,
that is, we have equipped labs, classrooms, library, arranged garden, and sport
hall. I hope you enjoy what has been done for your better education and
fun.
We have started construction of the new campus. We plan to
finish it in 2 years and move there in September, 2011.
For the
purpose of improving education quality at IBSU we are working on establishing
educational-scientific relations with American universities. For that reason we
have visited more than 20 universities in the US. The latest visit was held in
June, 2009, which promises us to achieve agreement in terms of student exchange,
faculty exchange, taking courses in the US and getting an American diploma;
inviting professors to deliver lectures at our university. We hope to achieve an
agreement as a result of a repeated visit to the US so that we can offer our
present and prospective students better opportunities for getting
future-promising education.
In response to changes in educational
rules and educational standards of American universities we have modified IBSU
Internal Regulation and curricula. In order for a student to graduate taking 40
main courses will be enough. As for second languages like Turkish, Russian,
Spanish, etc. they will no longer be included in curriculum, rather, they will
open every year as free of charge programs. Those who wish can attend, take
exams and as a result they will get a language certificate.
As for
IBSU lecturers, they are preparing course notes for each course. So far, more
than 50 course notes have been prepared and they are available at IBSU Book
Store.
